Montaigne White – Women's Faux Fur Coat

Le Montaigne is a long white faux fur coat that falls to mid-calf. Wide notched lapels frame the face, the shoulders drop softly and the front panels cross over. Le Montaigne is not slipped on: it wraps around you.

Its short-pile vegan fur is dense and velvety: the hand follows the direction of the pile, and the coat falls with a supple weight you feel on the shoulders. Inside, the satin lining, sewn in by hand stitch by stitch, glides over the arms and lets the fur close around the silhouette: once on, Le Montaigne becomes a second skin. It is handcrafted in our atelier in Paris’s 11th arrondissement, from vegan fur on the roll: pattern-making, cutting, assembly, brushing and a check of every piece.

Worn open, it goes to a dinner or an evening out; crossed and drawn close, it sees you through the coldest days. The roomy cut leaves space for a chunky knit underneath.
